Davin Park

As an 8th grader at Seoul Foreign School, I proudly embrace my diverse interests, which span rollercoasters, planes, space exploration, and ships, all driving my passion for adventures and thrills. I have ridden over 70 rollercoasters and traveled to six countries—the United Kingdom, France, the United States, China, Japan, and South Korea—to experience more of these thrill rides. Music plays a significant role in my life; I play the clarinet and piano and actively participate in the Symphonic Band, the highest-level ensemble in our middle school. Beyond my musical pursuits, I engage in extensive research, from memorizing all 195 U.N. member states to acquiring in-depth knowledge of Airbus and Boeing aircraft. My intense curiosity was evident as early as third grade when I began creating and transcribing MIDI music on GarageBand. I love experiencing and understanding the world through hands-on activities and cognitive challenges, with a particular liking for music and numbers. I love trying new and surprising things, and the moments when I advance through practice and experience are the most rewarding. Expanding my world through my passions excites me, and I find joy in diving deep into my interests, connecting them to discoveries, and experiencing personal growth. In my attempt at knowledge and personal growth, I try my best to unlock the potential for improvement in my life.
